The Spirited Thrifter

My name is Nicole. I’m a 41-year-old wife and mother of three awesome kids, aged 9, 7 and 4. I started style blogging in August 2012 after my husband lost his job and I discovered thrifting as an avenue for affordable fashion and retail therapy! He found another awesome job soon after, but I continued with my adventure of shopping second hand for myself for a full year and I’m not planning to stop any time soon!

When I heard from my friend Jan about a local thrift shop called Pennywise, I thought to myself, there better not be a creepy clown section.  Spoiler alert – there isn’t, but there is a great resale shop on a great mission!  There are actually several PennyWise Resale Shop locations i...

The internet is a peculiar beast.  Perhaps more than any other thing, it has the power for amazing good and destructive bad.  Fortunately, I see the good so much that I am often caught by surprise when the bad rears, which is fine by me.  I’ll happily turn my face to the sun any day.  For e...
