The City of Edmonton's corporate Sustainable Building Policy (C532), established in 2008, strives to ensure that City-owned buildings are designed and constructed to an environmentally sustainable standard. A policy review is underway to transform the currently design and construction focused policy into an integrated sustainable building policy that will better enable the achievement of the City's sustainability goals throughout the entire lifecycle of City buildings.

This presentation will provide highlights of the collaborative processes and the energy and cost modeling underway to support policy development, and provide a sneak peek on the recommended policy changes.
