Teacher Deb Merriam will show you all the steps in the process of using natural dyes to dye yarn. Learn the processes of mordenting and making a natural dye bath. Take home two skeins of Alberta yarn, hand dyed by you!

This class in in two parts: 

Day 1 (Aug 18th) Learn the first step of using natural dyes: mordenting. The mordent prepares the yarn for the dyes. 

Day 2 (Aug 25th) Once the mordents have set, play with colour on the yarn, learning all the steps of working with the natural dyes.
