========================================

For the first time ever, senior performers enrolled in the Songkraft Voice and Performance Excellence Program will be appearing in concert with a full band.

The evening will feature a wide variety of music, including songs by Adele, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Amy Winehouse, Christina Perri, Tori Amos, Blue Suede, Bob Marley, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, Elvis and Ella Fitzgerald.

THE SINGERS

Alyx: Has been singing for as long as he can remember, plays guitar, plays piano, writes music and is the son of Songkraft's founder. He is also the webwizzard behind his fathers internet publishing initiatives.

Andree: A student at the University of Alberta, Andree has a natural charm and a sensitive emotional presence that makes its way into her music.

Bex: Bass player for the night, Bex will take time off to sing a song and begin a new musical-journey chapter. Bex is ... Bex. You'll see!

Brendan & Tom: Brendan works at the Edmonton Waste Management facility for the City of Edmonton and Tom supports his music by working at Carbon Copy Digital. These two will warm your hearts with their show opener.

Jade: An artist who is soon to make her way to a degree program in fine art, Jade has a way of rendering songs with a naturally expressive flair. She currently supports her love of art and music working with Jennifer at Edmonton's Sugarbowl restaurant.

Jennifer: Currently working on her degree as an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto in Piano, Jennifer loves to play. She plays piano, ukulele and also loves to sing. Listening to Jennifer is like listening to the radio, only better. It's just that good.

Joruis: With her Arts degree, and studies in drama and music, now behind her, Joruis is seeking F/T employment in order to stay in Canada. She's here from China and we think that you too will wish for her success. Once we heard her sing, we hoped she would find the means to stay and sing with us forever.

Leanne: With a year to go to a degree in engineering, Leanne takes every opportunity to demonstrate her strong and meaningful performance presence. Writing songs is Leanne's passion and singing those songs is the focus of her life journey.

Michelle: Have you heard of "The Singing Nun?" Debbie Reynols played Jeanne Deckers in the movie and we think that Adele should play the part of our "Singing Nurse." You will surely enjoy a medley of Adele songs rendered by Michelle.

Sheena: A yoga instructor with a charismatic charm that defeats most hearts, Sheen always pulls something amazing out of her hat ... for every performance. You will love the experience.

Tim: The founder of the program, Tim joins his students at their request. He has sung so much music and in so many places that we are never sure if he is going to pull out something classic or popular. Whatever it will be we know it will be worth hearing.

THE BAND

Kevin Castro: A pianist based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Kevin performs a brand of sophisticated contemporary music. He adds his own jazz spin on the music he performs, ensuring it hits the groove in the moment and moves the audience. Well versed in contemporary pop music, he is an energetic and authentic performer.

Bex Stasiewich: Bex attended Grant MacEwan University, recently graduating with a degree in music. Concentration in performance playing the bass has given way to the pursuit of a life-long ambition. Bex will also take the stage as one of the Songkraft singers for this event.

Cameron O'Nell: Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Cameron grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He's been playing instruments since he was 6 years old and would like us to tell everyone that his favorite chord is F Major 7.

Eric Wildeman: Originally from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Eric plays guitar with an extensive and varied background. He plays styles that include metal, funk, classical and everything in between. He currently studies in the Contemporary and Jazz Music program at MacEwan University.

Kathy Sperling: After rescuing a cello from a garage sale a few years ago, Kathy looks for every opportunity to let it ‘sing' in public. She is a pianist, classical and contemporary, who enjoys moonlighting as a cellist, adding string harmony whenever she is invited to play along.

This will be a fun, first-of-its-kind event. Don't miss out!
