Poetry and the Polis is a poetry reading group which seeks to challenge hierarchical structures of learning. The members of Poetry and the Polis invite the community of Amiskwaciwaskahikan/Edmonton to be part of our scheduled sessions where we will discuss poetry as a simultaneous form of dislocation and inclusion--dislocation from oppressive language structures; inclusion of marginalized peoples and poetic discourses.
