Celebrate The Works Art & Design Festival 2015 and mark the start of a Golden Summer
Gala Chairs Sarah Chan and Sydney Young invite you to join us for an evening of awards, entertainment, and fine fare in support of Council Scholarships & Art Internships at The Works. These programs enhance the city's cultural workforce and enrich our communities by encouraging the artistic development of Edmonton's most talented visual arts and design students.
This year, the Gala will celebrate the 30th annual The Works Art & Design Festival, which has seen over 7.2 million visitors to 1375 exhibits & 805 Festival Sites featuring over nearly 30,000 artworks. The Gala also celebrates the successes of The Places: Art & Design in Public Places Program. Since its inception in 1999, The Places has produced over 63 Public Art & Design Projects throughout downtown and other neighbourhoods - raising over 7.138 million dollars in cash and in-kind contributions.
Tickets are $150 each, and all proceeds support Council Scholarships & Art Internships at The Works. A signature high top table will be reserved for those who purchase 10 or more tickets.
Each ticket is eligible for a $75 charitable tax receipt.
