Mama Needs a Babysitter

Who doesn't need an occasional babysitter? Whether you desperately need a night out, have a non child-friendly errand to run, meeting to attend or just need some ‘me time' we've got you covered! Come out to Cafe O'Play on Thursday June 25th, meet local babysitters while enjoying some refreshments; children are welcome to attend and use the play equipment.
Please Note: Some of the babysitters in attendance are willing to drive to any area of Edmonton but the purpose of this event is to find babysitters for families in South Edmonton & West Edmonton.
If you are living in Beaumont and looking for a babysitter please send me an email lindsay(at)modernmama(dot)com and I will let you know if I can accommodate with a babysitter to meet your request.
Babysitters in attendance:
are experienced with child care and some hold safety certifications
are able to provide their own transportation, public transit included. However - some might need a ride home at the end of the night!
are willing to travel within South Edmonton and/or West Edmonton.
are over 15 years of age
range from high school students to university students, child care workers or full-time nannies
want either occasional sitting (particularly evening/weekend/holidays) & some offer casual care during the day OR are looking for a full time nanny position.

no pre-screening or reference checks
Modern Mama assumes NO liability for hiring and working with any Babysitter met at the event
no set wages were agreed upon, it is up to you and your babysitter to agree on an hourly rate
Modern Mama is not an agency, we do not provide ongoing referrals to babysitters
There are typically between 5-10 babysitters in attendance!
