Microgreens Workshop at the Hospitality Cafe

Microgreens Workshop at the Hospitality Cafe

Starts:

Wednesday, June 24
11:00 AM

Ends:

Wednesday, June 24
1:30 PM

Join us at the Hospitality Cafe for a Healthy Greens Workshop and a Meal

Join Chris Guilbeault from LadyBug Permaculture and Emily Andreiuk from Canola Alberta as we dress up a salad with pea shoots and canola oil salad dressing. Learn how to plant micro-greens and grow them year round for yummy and highly nutritive greens. Microgreens are the shoots of salad vegetables such as peas, arugula and mustard picked just after the first leaves have developed. We will take canola oil processed in Alberta and learn how to dress up our salads. Come prepared to get down and dirty as we plant up some pea shoots and shake your salad dressing! You will take home a container of microgreens to grow on your counter.

Tickets are on a sliding scale from $10.00 to $20.00. The ticket price covers the cost of the Cafe and workshop and enables us to subsidize folks where income might be a barrier.

Volunteer opportunity: If you are interested in helping out with the set up, serving and clean up in exchange for a ticket to the lunch and workshop, please contact Sylvia Ganga at 780-484-9766.
