Meet this Month's Panel

Lindsay is a self-taught baker born and bred in Alberta, Canada. After moving to Montreal, then to England, and traveling to lots of places in between, Lindsay came back to her home province to put down roots. For better or worse, Lindsay's stomach is hard-wired to her heart: Edible Woman is a way to pay tribute to all the fascinating people and places she loves the most. @EdibleWomanBlog

Addie Raghavan is a scientist going through the journeyman phase of life, exploring his love for food, libations and travel. He is a big proponent of eating local in Edmonton's always-changing food scene and is passionate about food science, cheese making, bread baking and all other things kitchen related. His travels and expertise have sprouted side careers in cheese consultancy and freelance food and travel writing. You can usually find him inebriated at one of Edmonton's bars, or trying to be important on Twitter and Instagram via @BigAddie

Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton (a.k.a. OFRE) is a non-profit organization interested in locally grown food, raising awareness about food security, and establishing urban, local connections with food. OFRE mobilizes volunteers to harvest, process, and preserve local fruit found in our back yards. OFRE gets the fruit in the hands, mouths, and minds of people in the Edmonton capital region by fostering community involvement and knowledge sharing. @OFREfruit

Brittney Le Blanc is the community manager for Gastropost in Edmonton, which presents weekly food missions for food lovers every Wednesday in the Edmonton Journal. When she isn't working, Brittny is usually geeking out, trying new things, and eating delicious food along the way. While Brittney won't be winning any cooking contests anytime soon, she will try anything once, and is constantly in search of good food that is garlic and nut-free. She tweets too much as @britl and is @britlradio on Instagram.

Sponsor a Social Media Breakfast Today!

SMBYEG continues to promote digital literacy in the Edmonton Capital Region with the support of our generous sponsors. Sponsors are the lifeblood of SMBYEG, and the reason why we can afford to keep our monthly breakfast free for our attendees. Each month we need a financial donor to help nourish the bodies of our attendees, while our amazing speakers nourish their minds!

For the low, low cost of $295 you can sponsor a breakfast, help us achieve our mission, and get some great publicity.

Contact smbedmonton@gmail.com or tweet @SMBYEG for more information.

Special thanks to Startup Edmonton for providing the venue.
