Since 1997, Laurie Blakeman has represented the fabulous constituency of Edmonton-Centre. As Alberta's longest serving MLA exclusively in opposition, Laurie is recognized as one of the most effective legislators in the province. She holds the government accountable and presents alternative policy in the areas of environmental management, arts and culture, municipal issues, and human rights.
To show our continuing support for Laurie and help raise funds on her behalf, we hope you will join us in this year's Sunday Brunch and Silent Auction with Blakeman! Come "Have Eggs With Your Favourite Grit" on Sunday, March 15, 2015. The event starts at 11:00 am at the Santa Maria Goretti Community Centre - 11050 90th Street, Edmonton.
You can count on a fun and lighthearted event. You'll enjoy brunch, live music, a silent auction, as well as a few extra surprises!
Tickets are $50, and $25 for kids ages 4-12 years. You can also buy a table of eight for $400 and receive $25 in "Auction Bucks" to use at the Silent Auction. If you don't have enough friends to fill the table we would be happy to donate extra tickets on your behalf to Laurie's youth supporters to encourage the next generation of voters.
Should you wish to participate by donating and item for the silent auction, please note that your donation of merchandise, gift certificates, services, or you-name-it will be recognized on-site, and in our event program. For your donation valued at $200 or higher, you'll also receive a free brunch ticket. Tax receipts will be issued to all silent auction donors, as applicable.
We hope we can count on your support to ensure our "Favourite Grit" can continue to do important work from her seat in the legislature!
