Don't miss Don Burnstick, our Kickoff keynote speaker who's considered one of Canada's best comedians! Don grew up on reserve the youngest of 15 children and was also an alcoholic and drug addict on the streets of Edmonton, until he sobered up at the age of 21. Don speaks about his proud heritage as a Cree from the Alexander First Nation, the importance of healing through humour and leaving the world a better place for our future generations. Don's keynote presentation will connect his life experience with the work United Way carries out in our community to end poverty.

Kickoff marks the start of the annual United Way Campaign and announces the current campaign cabinet, campaign target and dollars to date for the Alberta Capital Region. The celebration includes greetings from the Campaign Chair.
