This Labour Day long weekend, ATB Financial and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra are excited to bring the community together with a series of free outdoor concerts set in the heart of downtown Edmonton. In partnership with the City of Edmonton we are welcoming the world as our city hosts the World Triathlon Grand Final in our city's river valley, including Hawrelak Park. Symphony in the City will present something for everyone in the Capital Region: a multimedia adventure with Disney in Concert alongside monumental classical works. This event will be a chance for families to gather in a shared community experience in both Churchill Square and Kinsmen Park, to celebrate our city's summer festival season with an explosive finale.
This year, the High Level Bridge will be fitted with 60,000 LED lights. We're celebrating this scenic addition to the river valley with a performance that will tie in the visual of this dynamically lit Edmonton landmark with the spectacular sounds of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Edmonton's favourite celtic-rooted family, The McDades. Join us for a one-time outdoor concert experience, capped off with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture!
