IDEA Panel Discussion: Mature Neighbourhood Zoning & School Closures

IDEA Panel Discussion: Mature Neighbourhood Zoning & School Closures

Starts:

Wednesday, June 11
7:00 PM

Ends:

Wednesday, June 11
9:00 PM

On April 15th, 2014, Councillor Michael Walters made an inquiry to City Administration to investigate RF3 zones in mature neighbourhoods, why they exist, and how they impact infill development and revitalization of these neighbourhoods. For further information, read our blog post here.

We have decided that this is a perfect opportunity to have a broader community discussion on this topic in combination with the school closure/amalgamation debate as the two are intrinsically linked. We are hosting a community conversation and panel discussion on June 11th, 2014, 7pm to 9pm, with Councillor Michael Walters, Public School Trustee Orville Chubb, and Russell Dauk from the Rohit Group of Companies to further explore these topics and their impacts on a community's vibrancy. The event will take place at the historic McKay Avenue School, and light refreshments will be provided.

We are accepting questions from the public that they may want asked of the panelists. Please provide your questions in advance of the event to infilledmonton@gmail.com and we will try our best to incorporate them into the panel discussion. If we run out of time, we will address them in a follow up blog post on our website at www.infilledmonton.ca.
