Lunch & Learn with the Edmonton Social Planning Council

Starts:

Wednesday, June 04
12:00 PM

Ends:

Wednesday, June 04
1:00 PM

The Edmonton Social Planning Council’s Lunch & Learn Series is a series of engaging lunch-time talks about social issues and organizations that have an impact on our community.
Food security and community gardens in Edmonton's inner city.

Join us for this presentation delivered by David Prodan, program manager of E4C’s McCauley Apartments

While food banks and similar centres provide those in need with immediate access to food, local food security projects address the nutritional needs of low-income individuals, while also
empowering the individual with confidence and the knowledge needed to produce food and be self-sufficient.

Our speaker will focus on a series of community gardens being supported by E4C in Edmonton's inner city. He will then talk about a project in development that will hopefully lead to the creation of a series of food hubs or centres that teach low-income individuals how to grow their own food.

Join us at the South-East corner of the 1st floor (far-left hand corner) of Stanley A. Milner Library.
