The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards celebrates the finest female leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and heroes in Edmonton. The YWCA Edmonton is excited to celebrate the 30th Annual Women of Distinction Awards this May.
The YWCA has made some exciting new changes and additions to the event to mark this 30 year milsteone. The event format has been streamlined to reflect the busy lives of our nominees and supporters, with a condensed presentation format and stronger focus on the nominees in each category.
Nominees across 8 categories will be honoured and the winner in each category announced the night of the event, Oscar style. The recipients bring amazing stories about their personal and professional triumphs, and relate how they overcame all types of barriers to become the successful women they are today.
The evening will include a Cocktail & Appetizer Reception, Award Ceremonies and a Silent Auction with dozens of unique and luxurious items to fit all styles and budgets. This event takes place at the Northlands EXPO Centre in the Alberta Ballroom.
