Are you working on a story, a poem, a novel or a memoir? Do you need some encouragement, and the fine company of other writers?<br> <br> Drop by Writers' corner at the Stanley A. Milner Library on the last Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm. The EPL Writer in Residence hosts a friendly and supportive gathering with a different guest author each month. The guest author will give an author talk and reading and will then answer your questions and offer advice. Come and talk about your writing in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and listen to the suggestions of professional writers in our community. All writers and readers are welcome. No experience is necessay. Admission is free. <br> Sunday June 27, 2010 1:30 PM <b>Marty Chan</b><br> <br> Playwright and young adult author, Marty Chan is best known for his play Mom, Dad, I'm Living with a White Girl, which has been produced across Canada, broadcast on national CBC Radio, published three times and produced Off Broadway. His play, The Bone House has been frightening audiences in Edinburgh, Vancouver and Halifax. Edmonton audiences have either heard his humor commentaries on CBC Radio or read his light-hearted Life articles in the Edmonton Journal. His first kids' book, The Mystery of the Frozen Brains, won the 2005 City of Edmonton Book Prize and his second book, The Mystery of the Graffiti Ghoul, earned the 2008 Diamond Willow Award.
