Wedgewood Heights

Most of the roads in Wedgewood Heights are named in honour of well-known Edmontonians. For example: Three early pioneers, Dr. R.B. Wells, W.R. Wells and W.A. Wells all contributed to the growth and development of Edmonton. The Weber family founded the Weber Bros. Company. Other roads are named after Colonel Charles Yardley Weaver, a city lawyer and former alderman. An inconsistent development cycle may explain the unusual mixture of well landscaped acreages along Wedgewood Crescent and the often vacant standard size lots in the western part of the neighbourhood.
