CKUA's Party in the Park

CKUA opens its doors to the public for free entertainment and lunchtime fun at their fourth annual Party in the Park, Friday June 17, 2016. Visitors will enjoy music and entertainment from Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Edmonton International Jazz Festival, Street Performers Festival and more, all broadcast live from the park outside the CKUA studios.

Edmonton Bicycle Commuters Association is in on the action providing free tune-ups, and food trucks Drift, Attila the HUNGry and Street Eats will be on hand as well. Taste of Edmonton, Youthwrite, The Works Art & Design and Summer Solstice Music festivals are joining the party with a sneak peek of what they have in store this year.

This is also a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes with a tour of the CKUA studios, performance space and legendary library – home to over 1.5 million pieces of music collected over the station's 89 years of broadcasting.
