What if hundreds of people united, each taking one small action to improve their city, all on the same day?
100 in 1 Day is a day to turn ideas into reality all over the city by celebrating the cumulative power of small changes and temporary projects. Start by submitting your ideas, participating in the workshop, and then launch your project on June 4.
Your project doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. You'll be amazed what you can do with common household items or with material donated by friends and neighbours.
An urban intervention is a single activity, project or installation that makes our community a better place. It may be led by an individual, community-based group, or an organization.
Projects can be practical, like planting trees or pop-up street furniture. They can be social, like hosting a block party. They can be artistic, like flash mobs or yarn bombing. They can challenge us or fix a problem. They can be as big or small as you want. All projects must be safe, legal and inclusive.
