Social responsibility is an ethical framework which suggests that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. Join the founders of Little Brick House and Earth Group in a cozy café setting to learn how their organizations are transforming our community and our world.
The Earth Group (http://www.earthgroup.org/ ) exists entirely to provide food, water, and education to children globally. This is accomplished through a worldwide, exclusive partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme(WFP) that sees the company donating 100% of its profits to funding school meal programmes.
Founders Kori Chilibeck & Matt Moreau share their story of how the company began in a university apartment to becoming a social enterprise with a global presence. Their talk will shed light on the unique business model Kori & Matt have created, and how they have become the change they wish to see in the world.
Nate Box founded Little Brick, a café, general store, private event and office space in the heart of Edmonton's Riverdale community. It has been built into the original 1903 home of J.B. Little, who owned the once thriving Brickyard.
From scones and tea with a friend to a family birthday party dinner, Little Brick is founded on the belief that community helps us build great things. Learn about the history of Little Brick House

PARKING: Two parking stalls are available in the back alley. Street parking is available on 90 Street along the fenced field. Members are asked to refrain from parking in front of people's homes as Little Brick is located in a residential neighborhood.
TRANSIT: Buses 308 Riverdale and 309 Riverdale pass at the transit stop on 92 St., just offthe alley to Little Brick.
Ticket price includes speakers, food and beverages. Please note that all ticket sales are final.
