The Edmonton Reggae Festival Society presents Edmonton's second annual Reggae Festival on Saturday September 5th, 2015, Labour Day long weekend at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, Edmonton, Alberta.

We are thrilled to present our second annual Reggae Festival after our successful inaugural event last year which boasted high attendance and rave reviews from the community and attendees of the festival.

This one day family event is from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm showcasing a wide variety of musical talent, Caribbean food and merchandise. Headlining this year's Festival, for the first time in Edmonton is the established Jamaican leading International dancehall reggae recording artist Capleton along with his Prophecy Band.

The Festival stage will also see other well known International artists performers such as Queen Ifrica and I Wayne backed by Jamaica's Riddim 2000 Band. We are also excited to showcase the renowned Jamaica sound system Bass Odessey who will be entertaining patrons with the best reggae and exclusive dub plates throughout the day. We have many talented Canadian artists to showcase with performances by Edmonton's Souljah Fyah and Tasman Jude, as well as Montreal's Jah Lex.

There will be a variety of Caribbean cuisine available for sale such as patties, jerk chicken, rice and peas and many other mouth-watering Caribbean dishes. Other vendor stalls will be set up around the park offering food and merchandise available for purchase that will be sure to please everyone.

This year's Festival boasts a secured beer garden for the enjoyment of our adult patrons, with the hours of operation between 12:00 pm and 10:00 pm.

A children's activity area sponsored by Jamaican Association Northern Alberta (JANA) will be set up between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm with face painting, snow cones, games and more to ensure the children also enjoy the Festival. We will be donating a portion of our profits to the Edmonton Food Bank and would like to encourage members of the general public to bring a non-perishable item to donate.

Advance tickets are available at A Yah Mi Deh Restaurant, Shellshock420 outlets and Eventbrite.com
