Edmonton Reggae Festival Society in association with HOT 107 and 97.5 CRUZ FM presents Edmonton's first Reggae Festival on Saturday August 30th, 2014 at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, Edmonton, Alberta.

We are very excited to present this one day family event from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm showcasing a wide variety of musical talent. Headlining the Festival is the longest, hardest, and most consistently working artist in the history of the Jamaican Music Industry, the Empress of Reggae music, the most Honourable Marcia Griffiths who celebrates 50 years as a musical ambassador this year. During the span of her legendary career, Marcia Griffiths has worked with many of the greats of reggae music including the late great King of Reggae Bob Marley as a member of the I-threes singing group.

The festival stage will also see other international artists performing such as Richie Spice, Turbulence and Warrior King. We are also pleased to bring the world renowned Jamaica sound crew Stone Love who will be spinning the best reggae and exclusive dub plates on stage. We also have many talented independent Alberta artists to showcase with performances by Singin D, Souljah Fyah, La Kreme and the Powerhouse band just to name a few.

There will be a variety of Caribbean cuisine available for sale such as ox-tail, jerk chicken, rice and peas and many other mouth-watering Caribbean dishes. Vendor stalls will be set up around the park with merchandise available for purchase from all over the world.

A children's activity area will be set up between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm with face painting, snow cones, games and more to ensure the children also enjoy the festival. We will be donating a portion of our money to the Edmonton Food Bank and would like to encourage members of the general public to bring a non-perishable item to donate.
