Free Will Players are a not-for-profit theatre company formed in 1989. As operators of the Freewill Shakespeare Festival, the Players endeavor to create professional, contemporary, innovative productions of the works of William Shakespeare that are accessible to all audiences, regardless of age, ability, education, or income levels, while also developing new audiences and mentoring theatre professionals of the future.

This year we present The Taming of the Shrew in the Myer Horowitz Theatre from July 9 to 27, 2014. Though we're saddened that we can't produce this incredible show outdoors, the Horowitz Theatre is an excellent substitute while the Heritage Amphitheatre is being repaired.

There are many benefits to moving inside: no rain, mosquitoes or loud motor bikes interrupting the shows to name a few. However, the additional costs and shortened run will have a lasting impact not only on this season but on seasons to come. That's why we need your help. We're asking our amazing supporters to sign up for the Goodwill for Freewill campaign.
