Canada Day at the Alberta Legislature honours our province's history and celebrates our cultural diversity. Join us on July 1 for a full day of entertainment and activities for the entire family featuring some of the best local Alberta talent in music and dance.
hether it's your first or fifteenth time celebrating Canada Day here at the Alberta Legislature there is something new to explore and experience. The traditional 21-gun salute at noon will lead us into the official Canada Day welcome ceremony that will take place on the front steps of the Legislature Building. This year's program will include remarks by the Premier of Alberta and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The Royal Canadian Artillery Band is also back this year to entertain everyone with their signature musical program.
Canada Day at the Legislature features something for kids of all ages, including the antique car exhibit, stilt walkers, roving magicians and so much more. While you are here, be sure to visit the Legislative Assembly Gift Shop which offers a wide selection Alberta-made art, photography, jewelry and other unique items.
