Have fun in nature and plant trees with us at a free family event! Root for Trees Fest is an annual event which highlights the City of Edmonton Root for Trees Initiative � a program that makes it easier for you to plant trees in our city.
Kids 11 and under can participate in a 1km or 2km race where they run, plant a tree and water the tree. All participants get finisher medals and food after the race.
Visit a variety of displays set up by community groups. Whether you want to learn more about Community Gardens from Sustainable Food Edmonton, how to participate in Front Yards in Bloom, or more information on your local Community League � there will be something of interest to you.
