Learn from your peers as our guest speakers share their strategies and experiences. You can also take part in the discussion as there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

Intranet Foundations Workshop, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Allan E. Scott Boardroom (Level Four)

We've worked with many clients whose Intranets have grown organically into a thicket of siloed sites and confusing content. Their Intranets were launched with good intentions, but a variety of challenges–from unclear ownership and limited resources to the continued use of shared drives and email attachments–have hampered their best efforts.

How do we start to change this situation?

In this workshop we'll discuss three critical topics that are the foundation for making Intranet improvements:

Understanding important content and functionality by audience, so you can prioritize your work

Getting a handle on governance so you can make decisions effectively

Building a business case for a better Intranet that can get executive buy-in

We will also teach participants how to use two essential tools from our Intranet consulting toolbox:

The content priorities survey, a ten-minute survey we use to determine which audiences need what content and features

Our one-page worksheet for Intranet governance that establishes who makes decisions in key areas

Participants will leave with practical skills and strategies they can use to lay a solid foundations for their next Intranet project.
