hackYEG: Edmonton's Open Data Hackathon
Starts: Saturday, May 24
|
Ends: Saturday, May 24
|
Come to downtown Edmonton to work on an Open Data project you've planned or pair up with other like-minded individuals and see where the data takes you. Explore data sets from the City of Edmonton, Strathcona County, the Province of Alberta, and others. Try some visualization tools or just observe how others do it. You don't have to be a programmer to participate, but you do have to be curious and willing to try.
This event is open to both programming experts and non-experts alike, and targets anyone interested in civic issues, open data and learning something new. We hope to foster a fun hackathon environment of conversation, experimentation and discovery without a necessarily academic direction.
