CS 50th Anniversary!

April 1, 2014 is the official 50th birthday of the founding of the Department of Computing Science. On Tuesday, April 1, (2014-04-01 for the ISO 8601 fans), from 15:00 to 19:00 we will have an informal celebration. That is, food, birthday cake, and a very limited amount of speeches. Our goal is to to mix the old and new generations, and to look back and forward.

We would like to collect as many anecdotes as possible - so if you have a story to tell about your time in CS, please feel free to post!

Also, we are having a contest for 50th anniversary logo, so if you have an artistic bent, you can submit a logo and it will be judged by all the April 1 attendees. See more: https://www.cs.ualberta.ca/50th
