Earth Hour is a global lights-out phenomenon led by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to show support for action on climate change.
In 2013, the City of Edmonton promoted Earth Hour among individuals, businesses, schools, community leagues and post-secondary institutions. As a result of everyone's efforts, Edmonton decreased its power consumption by 3% compared to the week prior.
