La Cite Francophone in Edmonton's French Quarter will be hosting a new vibrant and exciting indoor and outdoor Farmers' market starting this summer. A focus on locally produced artisan foods, beverages, and music will reflect the growing food culture in Edmonton, infused with a European flair. Open year round on Sundays from Noon to 5 PM starting on June 16, 2013, this market offers a pleasant atmosphere and experience for weekenders and shoppers alike. Building on the successes of its past events, La Cite Francophone would like to invite anyone and everyone that loves art, food, and drink to experience the French Quarter in all of its vitality and beauty.

Artisan cheeses, wines, pastries, confections, along with farm fresh produce from the region will star the French Quarter Farmers' Market at the delight of Edmonton's growing foodie and arts communities. Paired with local artists, entertainers, and mobile food vendors, the architecture and design of the neighbourhood and building provides a festive atmosphere, making the event perfect for spending a Sunday evening while making it friendly to young families. Ample free parking is available to patrons and full wheelchair/stroller access is granted.

La Cite Francophone is well more than well-equipped and experienced to infuse culture into Edmonton with the French Quarter Farmers' Market, as it has been and continues to be a venue for popular Edmonton events such as The City of Lights and The Flying Canoe Adventure Walk (attracting over six thousand people in two days this past February), the Edmonton Fringe Festival, the annual Canadian Sugar Shack and an annual Christmas Craft Sale, to name just a few.

Set on one of Edmonton's most attractive streets (Rue Marie-Anne Gaboury, 91st), at one of Edmonton's most architecturally interesting buildings (La Cite Francophone), and in an active neighbourhood friendly to cyclists and walking traffic that borders the Millcreek Ravine, The French Quarter Farmers' Market is situated in an ideal location.

The French Quarter Farmers' Market launches on June 16, 2013 and runs year round on Sundays from Noon to 5 PM. It offers fresh and creative products not available in stores that have been produced locally. Local bred entertainment will highlight the beauty of its location creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all ages in a space that is accessible to all.
