July 1, 2008 saw the first ever NE Edmonton Canada Day at our very own historical Borden Park located at 112th Avenue and 73rd Street. With more than 5000 people; family, friends and children that took part in the days celebration, our Canada Day event proved an overwhelming success.

Organized by both Peter Sandhu, MLA for Edmonton Manning, and Tony Caterina, City Councillor for Ward 7, this celebration has become an annual event full of fun for the entire family.

Attendees can experience an afternoon of free hotdogs & beverages, cake, face painting, free concert, children's activities and free all-day access to the outdoor pool.

The many positive assessments from numerous representatives from local businesses, political, exhibitors and public combined with the attendance numbers has confirmed the event's success.

With the help of its many volunteers, Canada Day at Borden Park will continue to flourish and showcase to the rest of Alberta how great Northeast Edmonton truly is!
