Public Meeting: Proposal to Adopt Area Structure Plan for Northeast

Starts:

Thursday, November 29
4:30 PM

Ends:

Thursday, November 29
8:00 PM

Citizens are invited to an open house to provide input and ask questions about the proposed adoption of the Horse Hill Area Structure Plan (ASP) located north of Anthony Henday Drive, south and east of Manning Drive, and west of 33 Street NE and the North Saskatchewan River.

Date: Thursday November 29, 2012
Time: 4:30 – 8pm
Location: Horse Hill Elementary School, 19355 Meridian Street NE

The Municipal Development Plan, The Way We Grow, designates this area as an Urban Growth Area. The ASP will encompass an area of approximately 2,950 hectares and will eventually be divided into several neighbourhoods, each which will require the preparation of Neighbourhood Structure Plans following the adoption of the proposed ASP.

The ASP will establish:
• the land use pattern for the area
• density of the proposed residential population
• the required infrastructure to support development

This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide your feedback to city staff and the consultant. Feedback from the open house will be summarized in a report to City Council when the application goes to Council for consideration.
