DEDFEST presents THE MONSTER SQUAD

For DEDFEST's first ever August screening we are to present the 25th anniversary screening of the 80's cult classic THE MONSTER SQUAD! Some of you may have grown up on this classic flick and others might be discovering it for the time. Either way it should a fun night at the movies with a flick that can simply be described as "The Goonies meet the Universal Monsters"
Count Dracula has until midnight to retrieve an ancient amulet that will give him control over the delicate balance between good and evil in the world. To help him, the Count calls on some old friends: the Wolfman, Gill-Man, the Mummy, and Frankenstein's monster. As the ghoulish group gets closer to the amulet, it's up to The Monster Squad, headquartered in the local treehouse, to pool its resources and stop the monster mayhem! On a hot August late night come join us at the Metro: Garneau theater and relive some 80's magic.
