One of Alberta's best-known and best-loved musical groups. The Emeralds Show and Dance Band is back at Horizon Stage by popular demand. Since their formation in Edmonton in 1970, they have recorded 29 albums, six of which went gold, two went platinum, and one went double platinum! In 1997, The Emeralds were inducted into Edmonton's Cultural Hall of Fame. The Emeralds' biggest single, The Bird Dance, is a staple at weddings and dances around the world. In fact, the group has an international reputation. They have entertained in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Trinidad, the United States, and they're always happy to play at home for Alberta audiences.
