As an official cultural venue of the 2012 Alberta Winter Games, Horizon Stage is proud to present Lorne Elliott. Proceeds of this event will assist young athletes from around the province as they 'make their mark' in our communities.
Lorne Elliott is a humourist, a storyteller, a singer, and a playwright. Called 'delightfully quirky', 'unrelentingly hilarious', and 'a genuine and talented nut-case', Lorne has performed from Newfoundland to New York City, from Los Angeles to Australia. He has performed his one-man show in theatres, colleges, and clubs, regularly appearing at the Montreal Just for Laughs Fesitval and on such television progreams as the Jay Leno Show. His weekly comedy series, Madly Off In All Directions, ran for 10 years on CBC Radio. An evening with Lorne Elliott is a unique and wacky amalgam of comedy and music, totally original, entertaining, up-lifting and foolish enough to make everybody laugh.
