The main stage for the third annual SONIC BOOM, Edmonton's Modern Rock Festival, has been relocated to the Northlands EXPO Centre on Sunday September 4, 2011. The move comes after careful consideration of fan feedback, and the effects of Edmonton's volatile summer weather patterns taking its toll on several major outdoor events, including SONiC BOOM itself.
The line-up for SONiC BOOM 2011 remains unaffected and exciting as ever ? the first-ever Edmonton appearance of modern rock icons JANE'S ADDICTION, the return of METRIC, the SONiC BOOM debuts of SOCIAL DISTORTION, CEE LO GREEN and CAKE, and featuring rising stars MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA, MIDDLE CLASS RUT, THE JOY FORMIDABLE and HOLLERADO.
