Milner Library Friday afternoons at 2:00 PM in the Audio Visual room.<br> <br> <br> <br> <b>A month of romance<br> <br> February 4: The Princess Bride</b> 98 minutes (1987) PG<br> This romantic, fantasy adventure comedy directed by Rob Reiner is based on the novel of the same name by famous Hollywood screenwriter William Goldman. The large cast includes Carry Elves, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Christopher Guest, and Billy Crystal.<br> <br> <b>February 11: Enchanted April </b>101 minutes (1991) PG<br> Based on the 1922 novel by Elizabeth von Arnim and shot in the same castle that the author stayed in, <b>Enchanted April</b> tells the story of two repressed women, unhappy with their marriages, who, on a whim, rent a villa in Italy. To cover expenses they take in two other women with very different personalities. Directed by Mike Newell, the film stars Josie Lawrence, Miranda Richardson, Polly Walker, and Joan Plowright .<br> <br> <b>February 18: My Fair Lady </b>170 minutes (1964) PG<br> Winner of eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor (Rex Harrison), and Best Director (George Cukor) this musical film is based on the Lerner and Lowe musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's play &quot;Pygmalion&quot;. In order to win a bet, phonetics professor Henry Higgins (Harrison) has to turn guttersnipe Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn) into a proper regal society lady. Includes the famous &quot;Rain in Spain&quot; sequence.<br> <br> <b>February 25: An Education</b> 100 minutes (2009) PG<br> A coming-of-age drama of a teenage schoolgirl in 1960's London who falls in love with a sophisticated charmer nearly twice her age. Carey Mulligan, in an Oscar-nominated performance, plays the schoolgirl. Nick Hornby wrote the Oscar-nominated screenplay based on Lynn Barber's memoir of the same name.
