Edmonton Earth Day

Starts:

Sunday, April 18
12:00 PM

Ends:

Sunday, April 18
6:00 PM

Explore a variety of ways you can walk a little lighter on the Earth as we celebrate both the 21st Edmonton Earth Day Festival and the 40th anniversary of International Earth Day. A perfect start to your Earth Day week celebrations (International Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd around the world), we invite you to join us in our NEW LOCATION at BLATCHFORD HANGAR at Fort Edmonton Park.

At the 21st Edmonton Earth Day Festival you will be able to talk to a variety of environmental, wholistic and advocacy exhibitors. Whether you have questions about solar energy, conservation, or how to complete a green home renovation project, there are many topics to explore, and many experts available to answer your questions.

The City of Edmonton Department of the Environment will be in the hangar as well with demonstrations, displays and tips for living a greener lifestyle. The upstairs area of the hangar will feature viewings of films created by "Made In Alberta" showing a number of ways that Albertans have reduced their footprint. There will also be demonstrations by exhibitors and ongoing topics of conversation. Any power that is used in the hangar will be put back into the grid by Bullfrog Power.

Free shuttle to the event has been supplied compliments of ETS from South Campus Transit Station/LRT (at Foote Field) - PLEASE note, this is a change of location from any previous year's shuttles.

Edmonton Earth Day Festival is produced by the volunteer corp of the Earth Awareness Society of Edmonton. FOR MORE INFO: please visit www.edmontonearthday.ca or email edmontonearthday@shaw.ca
