On March 26th to 28th, 2010, Michael Ignatieff, Leader of the Official Opposition and Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, is hosting a conference, "Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge," in Montreal. "Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge" is about the future. Leading thinkers and doers from across Canada and from around the world will grapple with what Canada can and should be when we mark our 150th anniversary in 2017 and what must be done today to get there.
We are holding a local event in Edmonton to coincide with the event happening in Montreal. Our event will be a combination of webcasting from Montreal and a series of local experts who are very excited to share with us their views for what Canada should look like in 2017.
We encourage you to bring a brown bag lunch as lunch will not be provided. We will also be doing a pass the hat to collect donations to help cover costs for this event.
